JUJ Board members are being honored for their volunteer work in the community
May 14 and May 23, respectively

On May 14 the J Associates (part of the JCC) is honoring this year's Mitzvah Star, JUJ Board member Linda Spitzer Gavatin. Every year, the J Associates awards men and women in our community who perform acts of kindness, or mitzvot, with the Mitzvah Star award. Recipients are nominated by J Associates members, with the presentation made to the awardees at the J Associates annual meeting/luncheon.

This year Linda Spitzer Gavatin will be presented with the Award. She volunteers at Covenant Place and serves on the Board of Aging Ahead, and on the B'nai Amoona Sisterhood Board. She is a long-time member and former President of the St. Louis Chapter of Hadassah, as well as a member of the region Board. Linda is a member of the JCRC Council as well as serving on the JCRC Policy Committee and is an active member of the B'nai Amoona Social Action Committee, chairing several programs each year.
